With a career spanning 25 years in the industry, I’ve had the privilege of working as a Lighting Artist in high-profile projects, finishing images seen by over 200 million people worldwide. My work approach uses the technical know-how to ensure a smooth and proper implementation of the ultimate goal, which is the artistic vision.
In my experience, collaboration consistently outshines competition, and I firmly believe that a culture of mutual learning and mentoring not only enriches individuals but also elevates the entire studio.
My journey in Computer Graphics began in 1995, during my undergraduate studies. I subsequently graduated in 1996 with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. Starting my professional career as a generalist, I handled various aspects of production, from modeling to compositing, ultimately delivering fully animated CG pieces.
Throughout my career, I predominantly worked as a Lighting and Compositing artist, focusing extensively on the technical aspects of the craft. I specialized in developing and implementing Lighting and Compositing pipelines, expanding my expertise in these areas, but never losing focus on any of the other aspects and disciplines involved in what is required for an optimal and efficient production.

Additionally, I ventured into rigging and tool development, utilizing programming languages such as Python, MEL, and MaxScript for proprietary software, as well as for commercial packages such as Nuke, 3ds Max, and Maya.
Over the years, I had the privilege of being mentored by renowned art directors in the industry, allowing me to develop a keen artistic sense. I learned how to utilize various elements within a picture to effectively evoke desired emotions.

Regarding soft skills, I learned throughout the years that people are the foundation of any successful company and cooperation should always prevail over competition. Due to events in my personal life, I actively foster a culture of inclusion, fairness, and respect, valuing and embracing personal, social, ethnic and cultural differences; this is deeply rooted in me, not simply a politically correct sentence. I actively support the growth and development of artists under my guidance, encouraging them to pursue their aspirations while fostering a collaborative and egoless work environment.
